A practice that begins each day.
A traditional Shōrin-Ryū dojo, taught by direct lineage from Chōshin Chibana. Forty years in the same room, with the same wooden floor.

道場訓 · Niju Kun
Four guiding precepts.
Funakoshi Sensei gave us twenty. Four are read aloud in their original Japanese at the close of every class.
Karate begins with courtesy
We bow at the door, on the mat, before partners. Courtesy is not ceremony — it is the practice. Skill without it is empty.
There is no first strike
Karate is defensive. Even in tournament, the body learns to wait — to read the opponent's movement before its own.
Spirit before technique
A perfect technique without intention is mechanical. Beginners learn one stance for a year — to teach the spirit, not the kick.
Karate is a lifelong pursuit
Black belt is the beginning. Some of our senseis trained sixty years to wear it. We measure progress in decades.
稽古 · Curriculum
Three practices. One way.
Every student moves through these three over their first three years. They are simultaneous — practice all of them, every week.
Spin Cycling
Indoor cycling class with varied intensity intervals.

HIIT Blast
45-minute high-intensity interval training session.

Pilates Core
Core-focused Pilates mat class for improved posture.
週の予定 · This week
A week in the dojo.
Pick a class above to filter. Sessions appear chronologically. Bow at the door — the dojo opens fifteen minutes before the listed time.
The next shinsa.
The autumn belt examination. Yellow through brown belts. Sensei Tanaka and Sensei Watanabe officiate. Twelve months minimum at current rank.
先生 · The senseis
Three senseis. One unbroken line.
Each of our senseis trained directly under a teacher whose lineage traces back, unbroken, to Chōshin Chibana.
